We are currently seeking an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join a growing precision manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled machinist with extensive 5-axis CNC machining experience who enjoys working on complex, high-precision components in a custom manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating advanced CNC machining centres while producing tight-tolerance components for a variety of industries. Experience machining aerospace components and working on custom, low-volume projects is considered a strong asset. Position Details

Competitive Pay: $40.00 - $45.00/hour (based on experience)
Shift & Schedule
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Oakville, ON
Key Responsibilities
Set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC machining centres.
Machine precision components to tight tolerances while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and complex technical specifications.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies for custom projects.
Perform first-off inspections and in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
Optimize machining processes to improve cycle times, efficiency, and overall productivity.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or setup adjustments as required.
Work closely with engineering and production teams on prototype and custom manufacturing projects.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all company safety procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Extensive experience setting up and operating 5-axis CNC machining centres.
Strong understanding of G-code, tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and machining strategies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
Experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and CMM inspection methods.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience within the aerospace industry is considered a strong asset.
Experience with custom machining and low-volume/high-mix production is considered an asset.
