We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as CNC Programmer.
The CNC Programmer will be responsible for developing, optimizing and maintaining CNC programs to support precision machining operations within a manufacturing facility in Woodstock.
This position is well suited to an experienced machining professional who can translate engineering drawings and technical specifications into efficient, repeatable CNC programs. The successful candidate will work closely with machinists, engineering, production and quality teams to improve cycle times, tooling performance, part quality and overall machining efficiency.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Develop, test and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes and other machining equipment.
Create programs from engineering drawings, models, specifications and customer requirements.
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, workholding and machining strategies.
Support machine set-ups, first-off inspections, prove-outs and production launches.
Troubleshoot programming, tooling and machining issues on the shop floor.
Modify existing programs to improve cycle time, tool life, quality and repeatability.
Work closely with machinists to ensure programs are practical, safe and efficient.
Review drawings, tolerances and GD&T requirements to determine the best machining approach.
Develop setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions and supporting documentation.
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
Strong experience programming CNC mills, lathes or multi-axis machining equipment.
Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, Edgecam or similar.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances and precision machining principles.
Hourly Rate: $38.00–$44.00 per hour
