We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Electrical Service Specialist.
This position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on engineering, international travel, and direct client interaction. Perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex problems and making a visible impact in the field.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Modify, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs (primarily in a service environment)
Provide electrical design support for system upgrades and custom solutions
Travel internationally (up to 50%) to support installations, commissioning, and service work
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients during service calls and site visits
Troubleshoot equipment issues remotely via phone and virtual support when in-office
Collaborate with internal engineering and service teams to resolve technical challenges
Document service activities, updates, and improvements for continuous optimization
Mandatory Requirements:
3+ years of experience with PLC programming and modification in an industrial setting
Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Ability and willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
Proven ability to confidently interface with clients in a professional setting
Excellent communication skills for both on-site and remote support
Solid understanding of industrial automation systems and controls
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
Background in electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical or similar)
Previous field service or commissioning experience
Knowledge of HMI/SCADA systems
Exposure to multiple manufacturing or automation environments
Location: Hamilton, Ontario Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 + generous travel bonuses
