The EHS Coordinator Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Create and maintain safety and environmental training programs according to company policies and Provincial requirements
Administrate compliance with Federal & Provincial regulations regarding environmental protection and safety
Develop and maintain systems which record, monitor and measure facility compliance
Arrange, handle and review internal safety / environmental inspections and third party surveillance audits
Implement ISO 14001 environmental management system, ISO 45001 occupational health & safety management system, and EMAS
Amass EHS reports and integrate with Managers/Supervisors to implement EHS programs and continuous improvement initiatives
Aid with ensuring safe storage, handling, use and disposal of chemicals at the plant
Manage WSIB claims and return to work plans for injured workers
Qualifications:
Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Degree Preferred)
Minimum of 3 years experience of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
Previous experience with hazardous waste disposal and waste reduction practices
Experience ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (or OHSAS 18001).
