Job Description


We have partnered with a global manufacturing leader to recruit a Health & Safety Supervisor for a permanent job opportunity in Woodstock, ON. Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain safety and environmental training programs according to company policies and Provincial requirements

  • Administrate compliance with Federal & Provincial regulations regarding environmental protection and safety 

  • Develop and maintain systems which record, monitor and measure facility compliance

  • Arrange, handle and review internal safety / environmental inspections and third party surveillance audits

  • Implement ISO 14001 environmental management system, ISO 45001 occupational health & safety management system, and EMAS

  • Amass EHS reports and integrate with Managers/Supervisors to implement EHS programs and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Aid with ensuring safe storage, handling, use and disposal of chemicals at the plant

  • Manage WSIB claims and return to work plans for injured workers

 Qualifications:

  • Degree/ Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (Degree Preferred)

  • Minimum of 3 years experience of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience with hazardous waste disposal and waste reduction practices

  • Experience ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (or OHSAS 18001).
