Human Resources Generalist 

Our client, an industry-leading consumer goods manufacturer is seeking Human Resources Generalist to their team in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of people-related responsibilities and initiatives across the full employee lifecycle of our team. This individual must have previous generalist experience, highly detail-oriented, and a quick learner. This is snapshot of the Human Resources Generalist responsibilities:
  • Assist in defining and executing human resources operating procedures across the employment lifecycle, including talent management, employee relations, benefits administration, employee change transactions, document control and other HR administrative tasks
  • Be available to all employees and managers, researching and responding to inquiries related to benefits, payroll and other HR-related concerns
  • Play a key role in the recruitment and selection process
  • Execute employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including pre-employment screening checks, systems setup and benefits enrollment support
  • This role will be the Subject Matter Expert on HR-related systems and processes, providing employees and managers with training and support as needed
  • Interpret, provide guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including time off and leave policies and procedures for employee
  • Contribute to the development and execution of communications and culture efforts as part of an employee-experience strategy that supports the achievement of our business goals

 Qualifications:
  • Degree or Diploma  in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Professional Human Resources designation an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in a fast pace Manufacturing environment
  • Previous union experience a definite asset\
  • Able to work independently, using good judgement
  • Solutions-oriented and able to deliver effective results within tight deadlines
