Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of people-related responsibilities and initiatives across the full employee lifecycle of our team. This individual must have previous generalist experience, highly detail-oriented, and a quick learner. This is snapshot of the Human Resources Generalist responsibilities:
Assist in defining and executing human resources operating procedures across the employment lifecycle, including talent management, employee relations, benefits administration, employee change transactions, document control and other HR administrative tasks
Be available to all employees and managers, researching and responding to inquiries related to benefits, payroll and other HR-related concerns
Play a key role in the recruitment and selection process
Execute employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including pre-employment screening checks, systems setup and benefits enrollment support
This role will be the Subject Matter Expert on HR-related systems and processes, providing employees and managers with training and support as needed
Interpret, provide guidance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including time off and leave policies and procedures for employee
Contribute to the development and execution of communications and culture efforts as part of an employee-experience strategy that supports the achievement of our business goals
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in a related discipline or equivalent experience
Professional Human Resources designation an asset
Minimum 3 years of Human Resources experience in a fast pace Manufacturing environment
Previous union experience a definite asset\
Able to work independently, using good judgement
Solutions-oriented and able to deliver effective results within tight deadlines
