Maintenance Planner (6-Month Contract) Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join their team on a 6-month contract basis, with the potential opportunity to transition into a permanent full-time position. This role will be responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance schedules, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to maintenance planning, and previous experience utilizing SAP for maintenance management activities. Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Planning and scheduling preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
Creating and managing maintenance work orders within SAP.
Coordinating maintenance resources, materials, and equipment to support planned activities.
Reviewing equipment history and maintenance data to improve asset reliability.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Production teams to minimize downtime.
Ensuring required parts and materials are available prior to scheduled maintenance work.
Supporting shutdown planning and execution activities.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Monitoring maintenance KPIs and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Assisting with the development and optimization of maintenance procedures and schedules.
Mandatory Requirements:
Previous experience in a Maintenance Planner role within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience using SAP for maintenance planning and work order management.
Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
Experience coordinating maintenance schedules, resources, and materials.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field is considered an asset.
Salary Range:
$33-40/hr
