We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Manufacturing Quoting Engineer in Kitchener, Ontario.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes to take ownership of costing and quoting new business opportunities. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to determine how components will be manufactured, estimate labour and equipment requirements, and develop accurate project costing for new programs.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for new manufacturing opportunities
Review customer drawings, specifications, and RFQ packages to determine manufacturing requirements
Determine appropriate manufacturing processes, labour requirements, cycle times, tooling, materials, and equipment needs
Develop accurate costing for fabricated components and assemblies
Work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and sales teams throughout the quoting process
Identify potential manufacturing challenges and recommend cost-effective production solutions
Evaluate material, subcontracting, tooling, and capital equipment requirements
Support new product and project launches by ensuring quoted assumptions align with manufacturing requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
Engineering degree or Engineering Technologist diploma
Previous experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or custom manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of how manufactured components are produced and costed
Experience preparing quotations, estimates, or manufacturing cost models
Knowledge of metal fabrication processes including laser cutting and press brake operations
Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000
