We're excited to share an opportunity for a Mechanical Designer to join our customer, a global leader in heavy industrial equipment manufacturing.
The ideal candidate will have experience designing heavy industrial equipment in an environment with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential to develop detailed mechanical drawings and assemblies that meet industry standards and project requirements.
Mandatory Requirements:
Design and develop heavy industrial equipment components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical engineers, to create integrated designs.
Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
Conduct design reviews, analysis, and simulations to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
Support the prototyping and testing phases, making necessary modifications to the design.
Ensure designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate revision control and documentation throughout the design process.
Assist in troubleshooting design issues during manufacturing and commissioning.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
Preferred Requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
Proven experience designing heavy industrial equipment, preferably in OEM manufacturing.
Proficiency with SolidWorks; experience with simulations and FEA tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical design principles.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to heavy machinery.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
