We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Designer. This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Designer looking to join a stable and growing manufacturing environment in Kitchener, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, drawings, and layouts using SolidWorks, while working closely with engineering, production, and project teams to support custom equipment and product development.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
Develop mechanical layouts, concepts, and production-ready designs
Prepare accurate bills of materials, drawings, and technical documentation
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
Review customer specifications, project requirements, and design changes
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to design standards and product performance
Troubleshoot design-related issues during fabrication, assembly, and testing
Ensure drawings and designs meet internal standards, timelines, and customer expectations
Mandatory Requirements:
Strong proficiency with SolidWorks
Previous experience in mechanical design, machine design, automation, custom equipment, or manufacturing environments
Ability to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings
Strong understanding of mechanical components, fabrication methods, and manufacturability
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and problem-solving ability
Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
