Job Description


Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, an industry leader in custom product design is seeking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team for a permanent opportunity. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the conceptualization and development of machinery and assemblies. The successful candidate will have a proven SolidWorks background. The Mechanical Design Engineer Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Use of design software to develop machinery solutions

  • Check & validate all final design documentation, parts lists, and drawings according to design & contract requirements, to ensure completeness & accuracy

  • Interact with the purchasing department & production department, in office, and on the production floor as needed;

  • Support production department during machine-building and testing

Qualifications:

  • Min of 3 years of Mechanical Design experience

  • Engineering Degree/Technologist

  • Must have Solidworks and AutoCAD 2D experience

  • Custom equipment/machinery experience preferred
