Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our client's team. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex mechanical systems and components for our company's products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure the successful execution of design projects. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles, advanced design software proficiency, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality designs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and oversee the entire mechanical design process, from concept development to final product realization, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish design goals, project timelines, and resource allocation for mechanical design projects.
  3. Utilize advanced design software and tools to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems.
  4. Conduct thorough engineering analysis, including stress analysis, tolerance analysis, and simulation, to validate and optimize designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers, offering expertise in mechanical design principles, best practices, and industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes that meet design requirements and quality standards.
  7. Participate in design reviews, evaluate design alternatives, and provide recommendations to improve product performance, functionality, and manufacturability.
  8. Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and quality control procedures during the design and development process.
  9. Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in mechanical design and engineering, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance design capabilities and processes within the organization.
  10. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to streamline design workflows, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.

Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Mechanical Designer or in a similar role, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering high-quality designs for complex mechanical systems.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.
