We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Mechanical Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a safety-critical manufacturer in the Kitchener-Waterloo area where engineering precision, compliance, and product reliability are essential. This role will focus on the design, review, and support of mechanical products and systems used in highly regulated environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring designs meet technical, quality, safety, and manufacturability standards while working closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, production, and quality.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Designing, reviewing, and improving mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for safety-critical applications
Preparing and revising engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation
Supporting product development, design changes, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensuring designs comply with applicable codes, standards, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures
Collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to resolve technical issues and support production
Performing root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective actions related to mechanical performance
Participating in design reviews, risk assessments, verification, and validation activities
Communicating technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Supporting audits, documentation reviews, and regulatory or customer-driven engineering requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
Professional Engineer license (P.Eng.) in Ontario
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience working in a safety-critical, highly regulated, or quality-driven industry
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes
Experience creating and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000
