We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Licensed Millwright in our state-of-the-art Automated Warehouse facility. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of the mechanical systems and machinery that power our automated operations. This is a great opportunity for a skilled millwright to work in a high-tech, fast-paced environment with advanced automation and robotics systems.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Mechanical Maintenance & Repairs:
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems, conveyors, automated racking systems, and robotic equipment within the warehouse.
Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations.
System Installations & Upgrades:
Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new automated systems and machinery.
Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems to improve performance, efficiency, and safety.
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on all mechanical equipment to identify potential issues before they cause disruptions.
Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems.
Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines when performing work, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Ensure that all equipment meets regulatory and safety compliance standards.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with the automation and IT teams to resolve mechanical issues that affect the functionality of automated systems.
Provide training and support to other team members on mechanical systems and safety procedures.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and hours worked.
Generate reports on equipment conditions and any preventive maintenance performed for management review
Mandatory Requirements:
Education & Certification:
Completion of a recognized Millwright apprenticeship program or equivalent.
Licensed Millwright (Red Seal or provincial equivalent).
Valid forklift and aerial lift certifications preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a millwright in an industrial or automated environment.
Hands-on experience with automated systems, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
Technical Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
