We're excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as a Millwright with a leading automotive manufacturer in the Oakville area! This role is focused on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment within a high-volume weld and stamping environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production uptime, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Shift: Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM)
Hourly Rate: $43.75/hour Location: Oakville
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated weld cells, stamping presses, conveyors, and associated production equipment.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and automated systems.
Conduct welding and fabrication work to repair equipment, fixtures, guards, and structural components.
Support equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment, preferably within weld and/or stamping operations.
Strong welding and fabrication experience (MIG welding preferred).
Proven troubleshooting skills with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation.
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
