Job Description

itec group has partnered with our Niagara-based client in their search for a Plant Manager. Reporting to the General Manager the Plant Manager will have the following responsibilities.   As the Plant Manager, you will lead the day-to-day operations of our fabrication, welding, and machining plant. Your role is to drive productivity, ensure safety compliance, improve processes, and foster a positive and collaborative work environment. You will work closely with production teams, engineering, and quality assurance to meet customer demands and company goals.     Key Responsibilities:   Leadership & Team Management:
  • Oversee production staff, including fabricators, welders, machinists, and supervisors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop department leaders and team members to optimize performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Operational Management:
  • Ensure efficient workflow across fabrication, welding, and machining departments.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute production operations to meet delivery timelines.
  • Oversee the maintenance of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to meet production goals.
Safety & Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards.
