We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Product Development Engineer.
Our client, a well-established medical device company, is planning a new R&D Centre of Excellence in Kitchener-Waterloo and looking to double its engineering team through the addition of 10+ Product Development Engineers. This is an opportunity to help develop the company’s next generation of products through hands-on design, rapid prototyping and testing. You’ll join a growing engineering team where your ideas and technical expertise will help shape new products from concept through development.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Design and develop new medical device products, translating user needs into practical engineering solutions.
Create and refine concepts, detailed designs and prototypes to evaluate product functionality and performance.
Plan and execute engineering tests, analyze results and incorporate findings into design improvements.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory and manufacturing teams throughout product development.
Evaluate materials, components and manufacturing processes for performance, reliability and manufacturability.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols and reports.
Troubleshoot technical challenges and support the transition of designs into production.
Mandatory Requirements:
A degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Product development engineering experience within medical devices or life sciences.
Hands-on experience with product design, prototyping and engineering testing.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into functional designs.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
