itec group is currently recruiting for a Production Scheduler with a manufacturer in the Mississauga area.
The Production Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, balancing capacity, materials, labour, and customer requirements. This role will work closely with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure schedules are achievable and production targets are met.
Primary Duties
Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer requirements, capacity, materials, and labour.
Perform capacity and production planning using ERP/MRP systems.
Lead daily production meetings and communicate priorities, constraints, and schedule changes.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, and changing priorities.
Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, and other departments to maintain workflow.
Identify bottlenecks and scheduling conflicts and develop solutions.
Track production performance and provide updates on schedule status and potential delays.
Maintain accurate production planning and scheduling information within the ERP/MRP system.
Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing planning.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and capacity planning.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and material requirements.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to lead daily production meetings and work effectively across departments.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Qualifications
5+ years of production scheduling or production planning experience.
Experience with capacity and production planning within an ERP/MRP system.
Experience leading daily production meetings.
Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience in engineered-to-order or industrial manufacturing is an asset.
Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
