We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Production Supervisor – Afternoon Shift in Stratford, Ontario.
Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead afternoon shift operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people leader who enjoys driving production performance, developing teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery targets are consistently achieved.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Lead and supervise daily production activities on the afternoon shift.
Provide direction, coaching, and support to production employees to achieve departmental goals.
Monitor production schedules, staffing levels, workflow, and output to ensure customer requirements are met.
Track and improve key performance indicators related to safety, quality, productivity, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
Ensure employees follow all health, safety, quality, and company procedures.
Address production issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and other departments as required.
Conduct shift meetings and communicate priorities, production targets, and operational updates.
Support employee training, development, performance management, and attendance management.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
Mandatory Requirements:
Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of production operations, safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate hourly production employees.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
