Project Engineer - Custom Automation

Location - Mississauga, ON
Salary Range: 90k to 105k + paid OT

itec group is partnered with an established Custom Automated Machinery manufacturer in search of a Project Engineer. This is a permanent full time position offering competitive compensation including paid OT, benefits, and pension matching.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of custom automation projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and project timelines.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, milestones, and timelines.
Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, procurement, quality) and external vendors to ensure seamless project flow.
Participate in the development of automation solutions, including machine layout, control systems, and integration with existing production lines.
Oversee the creation of technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and system design documentation.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial scope definition through to machine commissioning.
Work with clients to gather and clarify project requirements, ensuring their needs are accurately represented in the final design.

Mandatory Requirements:

3+ years experience in the Custom Automation field
Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar).
Proven experience in managing custom automation projects from concept to completion, with a track record of successful machine installations.
