Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and oversee quality operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving quality systems, ensuring customer requirements are met, and driving continuous improvement throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on quality professional with strong automotive experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven ability to lead quality initiatives and teams. RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage the Quality department and ensure effective day-to-day quality operations.
Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with IATF 16949 requirements.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements and applicable industry standards.
Lead internal, external, customer, and certification audits.
Manage customer quality concerns, complaints, and corrective action activities.
Lead root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action initiatives.
Monitor and improve key quality metrics, including scrap, rework, customer complaints, and PPM.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout manufacturing operations.
Oversee PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and related quality processes.
Work closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues.
Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
Provide leadership, coaching, and development to Quality personnel.
Establish and monitor departmental objectives and performance metrics.
Investigate manufacturing and customer quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
Support new product launches and ensure quality requirements are established and maintained.
Work directly with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
Promote a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary education in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of Quality experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949.
Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
Proven experience managing customer and supplier quality issues.
Strong understanding of root-cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
Experience with internal and external audits.
Demonstrated ability to reduce scrap, rework, customer complaints, and quality-related costs.
Strong leadership and team-management skills.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
