Quality Manager

Our client a Hamilton-based Automotive Supplier is seeking to add a proven Quality Manager to their team for a permanent job opportunity in Hamilton.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Ensures compliance to IATF and internal quality systems
  • Assumes a leadership role through coaching, mentoring and training of the quality department
  • Participates in APQP process for new program launches
  • Partner with Industrial Engineering team on key Continuous Improvement projects
  • Obtains and reviews customer scorecards, analyzes performance and with a cross-functional team works towards improving deficient areas
  • Audits quality system performance to ensure quality system framework is effectively implemented
  • Provide primary point of contact for supplier quality concerns

Qualifications required:
  • Post-secondary education in Quality Assurance (mechanical/manufacturing)
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality management or supervisor position within the automotive manufacturing sector
  • Familiar with APQP & PPAP
  • Experienced with measurement techniques and instruments

Location: Hamilton, Ontario

Position Type: Permanent

Salary/Rate: Negotiable, based on experience
