Job Description


itec group is recruiting for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer that will play a critical part in the successful launch of new products and the implementation of cutting-edge technology and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. New Product Introduction:
    • Collaborate with product development teams to provide engineering inputs during the early stages of product design and development.
    • Evaluate the manufacturability of new products and make recommendations to optimize designs for cost-effective production and assembly.
    • Create and execute NPI plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk assessments, to ensure smooth transitions from design to manufacturing.
    • Conduct feasibility studies, process validations, and design of experiments (DOEs) to validate the manufacturing processes for new products.

  2. Technology and Automation Implementation:
    • Identify opportunities for the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and automation to improve production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
    • Research and evaluate emerging manufacturing technologies and automation solutions relevant to our industry and make data-driven recommendations for implementation.
    • Lead the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems, including robotics, machine vision, and IoT solutions.
    • Collaborate with equipment suppliers and vendors to select and procure technology and automation components that align with company objectives.

  3. Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
    • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase productivity and reduce waste.
    • Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive process optimization projects.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of process changes and automation implementations, and make adjustments as needed.

  4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training programs and ensure the successful adoption of new manufacturing processes and technologies.
    • Foster a strong collaborative relationship between engineering, production, and quality teams to drive successful NPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a focus on new product introduction and technology automation.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading NPI projects from concept to full-scale production within the [industry/sector].
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies, automation systems, and Industry 4.0 concepts.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, process simulation tools, and statistical analysis software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome engineering and manufacturing challenges.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
