We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy as Vice President of Manufacturing. This leadership role provides the opportunity to drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and have a direct impact on the growth and success of a mid-sized capital equipment manufacturer with revenues exceeding $50M.
Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all manufacturing operations, including production, quality assurance, supply chain, and facilities management.
Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes that drive cost reduction, maximize productivity, and maintain product quality.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team to achieve company goals and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure alignment of manufacturing capabilities with business goals.
Implement and oversee Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Monitor KPIs, production schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure operational targets are met.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Lead capital expenditure planning, equipment acquisition, and facility upgrades to support growth initiatives.
Develop and oversee cost-efficient strategies for supply chain management, including vendor negotiations and inventory control.
Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence within the manufacturing department.
Mandatory Requirements:
10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven success in managing operations within a mid-size capital equipment or industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and Continuous Improvement strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, capital projects, and large-scale process improvements.
Ability to analyze operational data and make data-driven decisions to achieve company objectives.
Preferred Requirements:
Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering specialization preferred).
Experience with ERP/MRP systems implementation and optimization.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, quality standards, and related certifications.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment.
Expertise in managing supply chains and vendor relationships.
